Terms of Use

The plain version: use Opti normally, do not try to break it, and do not pass your own builds off as official Opti releases.

Last updated: 5 September 2026

1. Using Opti

By using the website, launcher, client, support system or store, you agree to these terms. Use Opti legally and in a way that does not deliberately cause problems for the service, other users or staff.

2. Minecraft and Microsoft

Opti is an independent Minecraft Java client. We are NOT affiliated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft, Microsoft and related names belong to their owners. You still need to follow the rules for your Minecraft/Microsoft account and the servers you play on.

3. Your account

Keep your own Microsoft/Minecraft account secure. Do not use someone else’s account or staff access without permission. We may limit access if it is needed to protect Opti or the people using it.

4. Don’t abuse the service

Do not attack, overload, exploit or interfere with Opti. That includes bypassing security, sending abusive automated requests, trying to access private information, or using Opti to spread malware.

5. Client and launcher files

You can use official Opti downloads for their intended purpose. Do not reupload modified builds as official Opti releases, remove ownership notices, or use Opti code or assets to impersonate the project.

6. Updates and downtime

Opti is still in development. Features may change, move, pause or be removed while things are being worked on. We try to keep the website, launcher and client online, but cannot promise they will be available every second.

7. Store purchases

When paid items are available, the store will show what you are buying, the price and which account receives it before you pay. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

8. Security reports

If you find a real security issue, report it privately and in good faith through our Security Policy. Do not run denial-of-service tests, social engineering, or tests that access another user’s data.

9. Responsibility

As far as the law allows, Opti is not responsible for losses caused by unofficial builds, account misuse, breaking third-party or server rules, or events outside our reasonable control.

10. Changes and contact

These terms may change as Opti changes. The newest version will stay on this page. Questions can be sent to support@playopti.com.
